Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)
WR Xavier Worthy 20.8 pts
In the NFL season opener, rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy made an impressive showing in his professional debut. Worthy caught 2 passes for 47 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 1 carry for 21 yards and another touchdown Thursday night. Worthy's speed will be invaluable to the Chiefs as they hunt the elusive 3-peat, and expect to see many more big plays from him this season. However with only 3 targets this game, expect occasional down weeks in Fantasy if he is unable to reach the end zone.
Honorable Mention: WR Rashee Rice 17.3
Despite Worthy's big plays of the night, second-year Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice had himself a solid showing as well. He did not reach the end zone, but Mahomes targeted Rice 9 times throughout the night, who caught 7 passes for just over 100 yards. Expect to see this consistent WR1 usage and high target share throughout the 2024 season, especially while newly signed Hollywood Brown recovers from his mild pre-season shoulder injury.
Baltimore Ravens (0-1)
TE Isaiah Likely 26.10 pts
One of the more surprising performances of the night came from third-year tight end Isaiah Likely, with 10 targets and 6 receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown. Likely broke out in week 14 of last season after veteran tight end Mark Andrews sustained a serious ankle injury and missed the rest of the season. Likely held down the fort and showed out as a top 5 fantasy tight end in 3 of the last 5 weeks. Keep an eye on Mark Andrews usage as the season progresses, but if Likely continues to shine then he will easily be a top 10 scoring fantasy tight end for years to come.
Honorable Mention: QB Lamar Jackson 25.12
Less surprising of a performance, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson showed once again why he is deserving of being a 2-time NFL MVP. Despite losing to a strong Chiefs defense, Lamar completed 26 of his 41 pass attempts for 273 total passing yards, and connected with tight end Isiah Likely for his only passing touchdown of the night. In addition to his 273 passing yards and touchdown, Jackson had 16 rush attempts for a whopping 122 rushing yards. Despite the addition of future hall of fame running back Derrick Henry, Lamar was able to score plenty of fantasy points on the ground and expect him to maintain this elite level rushing upside that you drafted him for.
Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)
RB Saquon Barkley 33.2 pts
In the first NFL game played in Brazil, running back Saquon Barkley made his Eagles debut a sight to see on Friday Night. Behind the impressive Eagles offensive line, Barkley was able to rush for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns with his 24 attempts. Additionally, he caught both of his 2 targets for 23 passing yards and scored his 3rd touchdown of the night. Although this level of production is wildly impressive, don't expect 3 touchdowns every week going forward but do expect a career year from this fantasy superstar.
Honorable Mention: AJ Brown 22.9
With no surprise to anyone, Eagles star wide receiver was the number 1 target for quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hauling in only 5 of his 10 targets, Brown was able to bank 119 yards through the air and a touchdown on Friday night. What seemed to be an off-night for Hurts, still panned out to be a solid fantasy performance for AJ Brown and fellow wide receiver Devonta Smith, who hauled in 7 of his 8 targets for 84 yards and a total 15.4 fantasy points. Expect both Philadelphia wide receivers to match this game’s fantasy production for most of the season to come.
Green Bay Packers (0-1)
WR Jayden Reed 33.10 pts
While sharing targets with the rest of the Packers receiving room, 2nd-year Jayden Reed seemed to have a knack for the end zone Friday night, scoring a 33 yard rushing touchdown on his 1 rush attempt of the night, and scoring 1 through the air, both in the 2nd quarter of the game. In total, Reed ended the game catching 4 of his 6 targets for a total 138 receiving yards. Without a doubt, Jayden Reed is a talented receiver, however he shares the youngest receiving room in the league with the talented Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. Watson and Doubs had 5 and 7 targets respectively, so don't expect Reed to be the primary target in this offense, as the top scorer will shift from week to week.
Carolina Panthers (0-1)
No Elite Fantasy Value This Week
New Orleans Saints (1-0)
RB Alvin Kamara 22 pts
In the largest blowout of the week, veteran running back Alvin Kamara rushed 15 times for 83 yards and a touchdown, in addition to catching all 5 of his targets for 27 receiving yards. Kamara has historically finished as a top fantasy running back and appears that 2024 will be no different for this focus of the New Orleans offense.
Honorable Mention: QB Derek Carr 21.3 pts
Making an unexpected appearance on this list, quarterback Derek Carr completed 19 of his 23 passes for a total of 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. While an impressive fantasy showing, this was heavily aided by a poor Panthers defense (who allowed New Orleans to score a whopping 47 points) and is not expected to repeat this showing against the more formidable teams in the league.
Minnesota Vikings (1-0)
RB Aaron Jones 18.9 pts
In his Minnesota Vikings debut, former Green Bay running back Aaron Jones found success in his new team. In their 28-6 victory over the New York Giants, Jones ran 14 times for a total 94 rushing yards and touchdown, and caught both of his 2 passes for 15 passing yards. Expect a decent showing week in and week out, but this is most likely the ceiling this season for Aaron Jones.
Honorable Mention: WR Justin Jefferson 15.9 pts
Catching 4 of his 6 targets from quarterback Sam Darnold, superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson ended his afternoon with a humble 59 receiving yards and a touchdown. While a decent fantasy showing for any other wide receiver, it was a low performance compared to Jefferson’s typical fantasy output. Considering Jefferson will have Sam Darnold behind center for the rest of the season and this week was a favorable matchup, don’t expect a top performance every week from this superstar, especially when tight end TJ Hockenson returns to the field.
New York Giants (0-1)
No Elite Fantasy Value This Week
Notable Mention: WR Malik Nabers 11.6 pts, & WR Wan’Dale Robinson 11.8 pts
One of the biggest stories from the NFL Draft was rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers joining the G-Men and finally giving quarterback Daniel Jones an elite pass-catching target. Despite the promise shown by the talented prospect, Daniel Jones did him no favors in Week 1 completing only 22 of his 42 pass attempts and throwing 2 interceptions in their 6-28 loss to the Vikings. Of those attempts, Nabers caught 5 of his 7 targets for 66 receiving yards while fellow Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson caught half of his 12 targets for 44 receiving yards. Together they drew 19 targets for about 11 fantasy points per player. As long as Daniel Jones remains the quarterback for the New York Giants, don’t expect a much higher outcome for either of these talented receivers this season but if you want one of these receivers on your fantasy team, Robinson might be the top target for this Giants offense.
Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)
No Elite Fantasy Value This Week
New England Patriots (1-0)
RB Rhamondre Stevenson 21.6 pts
Despite an uneventful passing game in the surprising 16-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, running back Rhamondre Stevenson had an impressive showing of 25 carries for 120 rushing yards and a touchdown, in addition to catching all 3 of his targets from quarterback Jacoby Brissett. With an uninspiring quarterback and unproven receiving room, expect Stevenson to continue carrying the majority of the workload in this Patriots offense until the rest of the team finds their footing.
Atlanta Falcons (0-1)
RB Bijan Robinson 16.1 pts
Newly signed veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins was unable to get much going in the passing game, but year 2 running back Bijan Robinson had a decent game in week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robinson had 18 carries for 68 yards and caught all 5 of his targets for 43 receiving yards. In this low scoring loss, the fact that Robinson was still able to produce at this level should be viewed as a low/average game in comparison to the games to come this season.
Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)
K Chris Boswell 26 pts
It may be a surprise to see a kicker on this list, but Chris Boswell scored all 18 points in the Pittsburgh Steelers 18-10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Of Boswell’s 6 successful field goals, 5 of them were made from 40 yards or longer. Only wide receiver George Pickens had a notable amount of receiving yards (85) on this offense and if the Steelers continue to struggle getting in the end zone then Chris Boswell has the talent and opportunity to make a serious impact to fantasy teams this season from the typically quiet kicker position.
Houston Texans (1-0)
RB Joe Mixon 26.8 pts
In their narrow victory against the Colts, Joe Mixon had a dominant showing on the ground. Mixon had a massive 30 carries for 159 yards and a touchdown, in addition to catching all 3 of his targets for 19 yards in the air. Mixon was able to accomplish this impressive performance without taking away points from his Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback CJ Stroud and his elite receiving core so expect to see more showings like this from Joe Mixon in the weeks to come.
Honorable Mention: WRs Stefon Diggs 21.9 pts and Nico Collins 17.7 pts
Newly signed Stefon Diggs was the highest scoring Texans receiver in week 1, having caught all 6 of his targets for 33 yards and 2 touchdowns. His new teammate Nico Collins caught 6 of 8 targets for an impressive total of 117 receiving yards. Both receivers should be on starting rosters throughout the rest of the season, but Nico Collins showed why he is deserving of the number 1 wide receiver title on this explosive Houston Texans offense.
Indianapolis Colts (0-1)
QB Anthony Richardson 26.08 pts
After missing the majority of his rookie season due to a severe shoulder injury, quarterback Anthony Richardson had quite the return in his 27-29 loss to the Texans. Richardson only completed 9 of 19 passes but still threw for 212 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Richardson is more renowned for what he can do with his legs, and showed that in week 1 as he had 6 carries for 56 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. If Richardson had stayed healthy and on pace with his first few games last season, he would have ended the year as an elite level fantasy quarterback. After this game, Richardson appears to have returned to that pace and will be a top scoring quarterback this season if he can remain healthy.
Honorable Mention: WR Alec Pierce 21.5 pts
Third-year Colts receiver Alec Pierce had the best fantasy showing of his career this week. Pierce only had 3 targets during the game, but caught all 3 for 125 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was 3rd on the team in targets, with rookie receiver Adonai Mitchell catching only 1 of his 5 targets for 2 yards, and lead receiver Michael Pittman Jr only catching half of his 8 targets for a total 31 yards. Alec Pierce has had decent fantasy performances in the past, but this week might prove him to be a reliable pass option for a healthy Anthony Richardson, and should become a stable 2nd receiver for the Colts this year alongside Pittman Jr.
Arizona Cardinals (0-1)
RB James Conner 19.3 pts
Veteran running back James Conner had a solid showing in week 1 in an Arizona offense that struggled to get much going in the air. Conner had 16 carries for 50 yards, a touchdown, and 2-pt conversion, in addition to catching 3 of 4 passes for 33 receiving yards. So long as he can remain healthy, James Conner should remain a starting running back for your fantasy team throughout the season.
Buffalo Bills (1-0)
QB Josh Allen 31.18 pts
Once again proving why he deserves to be the first fantasy quarterback off the board year after year, Josh Allen had himself an amazing showing as the QB1 for the first week of the season. Completing 18 of 23 passes (against a favorable Cardinals matchup) for 232 yards in the air and 2 passing touchdowns. As if this was not impressive enough, he also had 9 carries for 39 rushing yards and 2 more touchdowns on the ground. This monster week is the reason you drafted Josh Allen early in your draft and he will continue to use his legs to compensate for the concerning performances by the rest of this Bills offense.
Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)
WR Brian Thomas Jr 14.7 pts
While he didn’t score as many points as others on this list, rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr deserves some recognition for establishing himself as a top receiver on this Jacksonville offense in his 1st game in the NFL, and being the highest fantasy scorer on the team this week. BTJ caught all 4 of his targets for a total 47 yards and a touchdown, showing to be a strong target for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. His main competitors on the team are fellow wide receiver Christian Kirk and tight end Evan Engram, who both only caught 1 of their 4 targets each against a decent Dolphins defense. This will be an interesting offense to watch, but Brian Thomas Jr will be a good player to start in your FLEX or WR3 positions.
Miami Dolphins (1-0)
WR Tyreek Hill 26 pts
No surprise to anyone that Tyreek Hill was the highest fantasy scorer for the Miami Dolphins this week, catching 7 of his 12 targets for a massive 130 receiving yards and touchdown. After an eventful morning with the police, Tyreek did not let his day affect his gameplay and was a major factor in the Dolphins first victory of the season. Hill will remain to see most of the targets on this offense and continue to be a top fantasy wide receiver every week this season. It is worth noting that fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was also healthy and had himself a solid performance by catching all 5 of his targets for over 100 yards and proved that these 2 stars can continue to coexist and thrive on this high-speed Miami offense.
Honorable Mention: RB Devon Achane 23 pts
Before getting injured in his rookie season last year, Devon Achane was an explosive player for fantasy football and the Miami Dolphins right out of the gate. Throughout the offseason there was a lot of concern about re-injury and health due to his smaller size, but there was also a lot of excitement about what he can bring to fantasy rosters in his 2nd year in the league. In week 1 against the Jaguars, Achane showed up with a little bit of both in his performance. He had 10 carries for a mild 24 yards and a touchdown, but an impressive 7 catches for 76 receiving yards as well. However those concerned about injury were fair to have that concern, as Achane suffered an ankle injury and left the game early, leaving him a game-time decision against the Bills on Thursday night. Achane will be a risky player throughout the season, but if he can be healthy then the risk will pay off with high scoring performances like these.
Denver Broncos (0-1)
No Elite Fantasy Value this Week
Seattle Seahawks (1-0)
RB Kenneth Walker III 18.9 pts
In the 26-20 win over the Denver Broncos, Walker III had a whopping 20 carries for 103 yards and 1 touchdown, in addition to 2 of 3 receptions for 6 yards in the air. All 3 of the Seahawks touchdowns this week were on the ground, and came from Walker III, 2nd year running back Zach Charbonnet, and veteran quarterback Geno Smith. Walker left the game late in the 4th quarter due to abdominal pain, but assuming he does not have any major injuries, expect him to have a floor of RB2 on your fantasy roster but this week 1 performance is most likely his ceiling for this upcoming season.
Honorable Mention: QB Geno Smith 17.84 pts
Going into the season, there were not the highest of expectations for 12th year quarterback Geno Smith, however Smith finished as the QB7 for the week in a favorable matchup against the Denver Broncos defense. Smith completed 18 of his 25 pass attempts for 171 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. More surprisingly, Smith also had 4 carries for 30 rushing yards and a touchdown. In the past 2 years, Smith only had 2 rushing touchdowns, and only 10 games with over 20 rushing yards, resulting in seasons ending as the QB19 (2023) and QB5 (2022). If he can maintain this type of rushing production, Geno Smith could end his season as an unexpected top 12 fantasy quarterback.
Las Vegas Raiders (0-1)
No Elite Fantasy Value this Week
Las Angeles Chargers (1-0)
RB JK Dobbins 22.9 pts
Going into week 1, the Chargers running back room was a big question mark between who would be the main running back between JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards in their Chargers debuts. After their 22-10 victory over Las Vegas, it is clear who should be their primary feature back moving forward. JK Dobbins had 10 carries for 135 yards, 1 touchdown, and caught all 3 of his catches as well for 4 yards. Gus Edwards had 1 more carry than Dobbins but only 26 rushing yards on the week. As long as Dobbins can stay healthy and end his unfortunate streak of injuries then he should be an elite fantasy running back this season on this new run-heavy Chargers offense.
Honorable Mention: WR Ladd McConkey 14.9 pts
This offseason, the Las Angeles Chargers traded away most of their offensive weapons to essentially restructure this whole side of the ball. It was assumed that the rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey would probably be the primary target for quarterback Justin Herbert, but in week 1 this was indeed the case. In his NFL debut, McConkey caught 5 of his 7 targets for 39 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. Don’t expect McConkey to be a top 12 wide receiver this season, but he should get the largest share of Herbert’s targets to make him a relevant WR2 in fantasy this season.
Tennessee Titans (0-1)
RB Tony Pollard 18.4 pts
With the loss of Derrick Henry this offseason, the Tennessee Titans backfield was something fantasy managers were keeping an eye on this week. Ex-Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is clearly the feature running back for this Titans offense as he was given far more opportunity than 2nd-year Titans running back Tyjae Spears. Tony Pollard ended the game with 16 carries for 82 rushing yards and a touchdown, in addition to catching 3 of his 4 targets for 12 receiving yards. Tyjae Spears had the same amount of receiving targets, but had only a quarter of rushing opportunities than Pollard so you can expect Tony Pollard to be a solid RB2 for fantasy rosters this season, but be sure to keep Spears on your bench just in case Pollard misses any time this season.
Chicago Bears (1-0)
No Elite Fantasy Value this Week
Dallas Cowboys (1-0)
K Brandon Aubrey 21 pts
The Dallas Cowboys had a struggling offensive showing in their week 1 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Cowboys scored 33 points against the Browns, but less than half of these points came from touchdowns. Year 2 kicker Brandon Aubrey showed fantasy managers why he was deserving of being the first kicker off draft boards this year as he picked up right where left off last year when he made 36 of his 38 field goals and 49 of his 52 extra points. He showed off his unbelievable accuracy this week, making all of his 4 40+ yard field goals and his 3 extra point attempts. Expect Aubrey to be an elite kicker this season as his 95% accuracy from last year has earned trust from the Dallas Cowboys.
Honorable Mention: D/ST DAL 20 pts
Although this game was not close in scoring, the Cowboys defense and special teams played a massive role in their victory this week. In a dominant performance, the Cowboys sacked Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson 6 times, forced a fumble, had 2 interceptions, and Kavontae Turpin returned a punt for 60 yards to the house. The Dallas Cowboys D/ST finished 2nd in fantasy last year, barely under the 1st place Baltimore Ravens and wildly above the 3rd scoring Cleveland Browns. This week the Cowboys were the 3rd top scoring defense and can be expected to finish the season as a top 3 defense once again this season.
Cleveland Browns (0-1)
RB Jerome Ford 18.9 pts
In an abysmal showing for the Cleveland Browns offense, year 3 running back Jerome Ford had 12 carries for 44 yards and a touchdown, in addition to the most receptions on the team by catching 6 of his 7 targets for 25 receiving yards. The only other player on the team to catch more than 3 receptions was tight end David Njoku who caught 4 of 5 targets for a total 44 yards. If one thing worked this week for the Cleveland Browns, it was Jerome Ford and expect that to remain true throughout the season unless the Browns make some major changes or play some more forgiving defenses.
Washington Commanders (0-1)
QB Jayden Daniels 28.16 pts
After week 1 against the Buccaneers, it appears that the Washington Commanders have scored gold in this year’s draft taking quarterback Jayden Daniels 2nd overall. Although Washington struggled to find success in the air against Tampa Bay’s solid passing defense, Daniels still walked away an absolute stud for fantasy football managers. Daniels completed 17 of his 24 pass attempts for 184 yards, but did far more with the reason he was drafted so highly; his legs. In his NFL debut, Jayden Daniels ran 16 times for a total 88 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns to finish as QB3 for the week in his first NFL game. While Daniels was drafted by Washington and fantasy managers for his extreme rushing upside, he is also an extremely talented passer so expect top 5 scoring performances from Daniels most weeks this NFL season.
Honorable Mention: RB Brian Robinson Jr 17.9 pts
While rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels made his statement on the ground, Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr did not let that hinder his showing in week 1. He had 12 carries for 40 rushing yards and 1 touchdown, in addition to 3 catches for 49 receiving yards in the week 1 loss to Tampa Bay. Despite the offseason addition of Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, Robinson Jr ensured that he will continue to lead this running back room and be the feature back moving forward. Don’t expect much higher performances from Robinson but he should have a solid floor in your fantasy RB2/FLEX slot.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0)
QB Baker Mayfield
In what was a favorable matchup against Washington’s defense, quarterback Baker Mayfield had an impressive showing in his 37-20 victory over the Commanders. Mayfield completed 24 of his 30 pass attempts for a massive 289 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, and carried the ball for 21 rushing yards. In this high scoring game for Tampa Bay, Mayfield proved that he has a genuine trust and connection with his receivers and will be a leading contender to win the NFC South for the 4th year in a row. Expect slightly lower scoring on a regular basis for Mayfield as he plays against more formidable defenses, but expect Baker to remain someone you can start on a weekly basis and put up massive numbers in favorable matchups.
Honorable Mentions: WRs Mike Evans 23.1 pts & Chris Godwin 22.3 pts
With the productive week for quarterback Baker Mayfield came the success of both receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Mike Evans caught 5 of his 6 targets for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Chris Godwin caught all 8 of his targets for 83 yards and 1 touchdown. Expect both receivers to be consistent scorers throughout the season, with Evans catching less but longer targets, and Godwin with a higher volume of shorter targets. Both receivers should be extremely successful starters and have the possibility to each end as a top 16 receiver if they continue with this pace.
Detroit Lions (1-0)
WR Jameson Williams 24.4
What was a high stress victory for the Lions in overtime, 3rd-year Jameson Williams had a career high game with star wide receiver Amon-Ra St Brown unable to get much going due to the Rams heavy defensive coverage. Williams caught 5 of his 9 receptions for 121 passing yards and a touchdown, in addition to 1 carry for 13 yards on the ground. With Amon-Ra St. Brown only catching 3 of 6 targets for only 13 yards, and tight end Sam LaPorta catching 4 of his 5 targets for 45 receiving yards, there was plenty of room for Williams to have this breakout game. Expect Williams to still be targeted moving forward, but score a lot less fantasy points on a weekly basis, as St. Brown and LaPorta get back to being used more heavily as the season continues.
Honorable Mentions: RBs Jahmyr Gibbs 17.4 pts & David Montgomery 16.3 pts
With the struggles for the Lions to get more going in the air, running back duo Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery both found the end zone and had themselves solid fantasy performances. 2nd-year Jahmyr Gibbs ran 11 times for 40 rushing yards and caught 4 of 6 targets for 34 receiving yards, while veteran back David Montgomery ran 17 times for 91 rushing yards and caught his sole target for 2 receiving yards. Expect this run-heavy offense to continue finding success for these 2 talented running backs as they both find success in their roles most weeks this season.
Las Angeles Rams (0-1)
WR Cooper Kupp 32 pts
After missing 12 games over the last 2 years due to injury, and despite the emergence of record-breaking rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp had his highest fantasy performance since week 2 of the 2022 season in this nail biting loss to the Lions. Largely due to Nacua leaving in the 2nd quarter with a knee injury, Kupp had a massive 21 targets and caught 14 of them for 110 passing yards and a touchdown. The backup 2 receivers Tyler Johnson and Demarcus Robinson had 7 targets each, but only caught 5 and 4 of them respectively. With Nacua on IR for at least the next 4 weeks, expect elite WR1 performances from Cooper Kupp for this season as Nacua is eased back into play and Kupp continues to be the number 1 target for quarterback Matthew Stafford in this high-passing offense.
New York Jets (0-1)
WR Allen Lazard 26.9 pts
With fellow wide receiver Garrett Wilson locked up by a tough 49ers defense and Mike Williams being eased back in after injury, quarterback Aaron Rodgers had no choice but to turn to his old friend and ex-Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard. In week 1, Lazard had his highest scoring fantasy game of his 6 year career in the NFL. Catching 6 of 9 passes for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns, Lazard made a strong case for himself to be a top target on this offense moving forward. Notably, Garrett Wilson only caught 6 of his 11 targets for 60 total yards and no touchdown. Expect Wilson’s production to increase against more forgiving defenses, but it would not be surprising to watch Allen Lazard continue his good relationship with Rodgers and be a top 24 fantasy wide receiver this year.
Honorable Mention: RB Breece Hall 18.3 pts
After recovering from his memorable Achilles injury in week 1 last year, quarterback Aaron Rodgers had only 1 carry for -1 rushing yard in the Jets Monday Night loss to the 49ers. With a non-mobile quarterback, Jets running back Breece Hall had a good night, carrying the ball 16 times for 54 rushing yards and a touchdown, in addition to catching 5 of his 6 targets for 39 receiving yards. Due to Rodgers lack of rushing, the rough (but improving) offensive line, and lack of running back depth, expect Breece Hall to continue being a top 10 running back each game this season as he continues his rushing and receiving production
San Francisco 49ers (1-0)
K Jake Moody
With the absence of star running back Christian McCaffrey and the strength of the Jets defense, 49ers kicker Jake Moody was the highest scoring fantasy performer on the entire San Francisco team. With the 32 points scored by the 49ers, only 2 touchdowns were scored by the offense. Jake Moody made both extra points, and made all 6 of his field goal attempts, 4 of which were made from 40+ yards.
Honorable Mention: RB Jordan Mason 22.2 pts
With the shocking game-time decision to declare McCaffrey as out, year 3 running back Jordan Mason was the starting running back for the team and had a career high fantasy production. Due to the troubles in the passing game, Jordan Mason was given an extremely large workload for his starting role and carried the ball 28 times for a massive 147 rushing yards and touchdown, in addition to catching his only pass for 5 receiving yards. Mason has proven himself to be a valuable backup to the best fantasy producing running back in the league, and as long as CMC remains out of the game, Mason should be a starting running back on all fantasy teams.
Honorable Mention: WR Deebo Samuel 18.7 pts
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was on par with the rest of the receiving room, catching only 5 of his 9 targets for 54 receiving yards, however his dual threat-ability allowed him 8 carries for 23 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on Monday night. Tight end George Kittle and both other receivers Jauan Jennings and the recently signed Brandon Aiyuk had 5 targets each, catching 4, 5 and 2 respectively. The top scoring pass catcher in San Francisco tends to change from week to week due to the scheme and amount of talent, but in week 1 Samuel had almost double the targets of anyone else on the team and should be viewed as the number 1 target for quarterback Brock Purdy in the passing game over the next couple weeks. However it’s also important to note that fellow receiver Brandon Aiyuk is being worked back into the team due to missing a large amount of training camp because of his contract issue and should see more targets in the weeks to come.
